Brianna Storm, 10th WHS and Urbane vocalist, has been chosen to represent the PMSD at the ACDA (American Choral Director's Association) Gospel Honors Choir festival this upcoming weekend. Brianna will travel to Hartford Connecticut on Wednesday, Feb. 13 where she will hold a hectic rehearsal schedule under the direction of famous gospel conductor/composer, M. Roger Holland II through Saturday morning. Brianna will get to perform at the Central Connecticut State University and the Harrt School Of Music. The culminating event will be all of the ACDA Honors Choir vocalists performing in a 2:30 concert Saturday afternoon.
The Gospel Honors Choir will perform:
- Total Praise – Richard Smallwood/Holland
- The Storm is Passing Over – Charles Tindley/Vails
- Give Me A Clean Heart – Margaret Douroux
- Holy are You Lord – Jeremy Haynes
- It’s Gonna Rain – Andrae Crouch
- Lord, Make Me An Instrument – M. Roger Holland
The audition process was very lengthy and Brianna has been working on this music for the past month. She will need to re-audition on Wednesday evening to prove that she has attained the vocal skills necessary for the above repertoire. Best wishes Brianna!
